The F60 MINI Countryman JCW has been spotted circling the Nürburgring.
With the usual prototype black and yellow camouflage, this appears to be the John Cooper Works model by displaying a sportier front end revised compared to other prototypes. You can also spot the F60 John Cooper Works with a front spoiler, larger alloy wheels, upgraded side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a dual exhaust system.
It is rumoured that the Countryman JCW will have the same 2.0l TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that is found in other John Cooper Works models – outputting 228bhp. The customer will have the option of either a six-speed manual or the optional six-speed automatic.
With the Countryman being larger and heavier than the hatchback, expect the Countryman JCW to be slightly slower getting from 0-60mph than it does the hatchback (5.9secs). On the positive side, it should be considerably more faster than the outgoing Countryman JCW due to using lighter materials.
